Meet the Principal

Welcome to Tapping Primary School.

We are a proud Kindergarten to Year 6 school on Wadjuk Noongar boodja, in the heart of the Wanneroo Education Network. Tapping is a place where kids are happy, staff genuinely care, and families are part of the story.

I joined Tapping Primary at the start of Term 1, and what struck me from the very first week was the feel of the place. There is a warmth here that you notice the moment you walk in. Kids smiling, staff greeting students by name, a playground full of energy and connection. That is not something you can manufacture. It comes from a school that has built real relationships over time.

At Tapping, we believe that when students feel known, safe, and valued, they are ready to learn. Our classrooms are purposeful and engaging. Our teachers hold high expectations and back them up with quality teaching, strong routines, and genuine care. We are focused on academic achievement, absolutely, but we also care deeply about the confidence, resilience, and character our students are building along the way.

Tapping is also strengthened by an incredible community. Our P&C and School Board are genuinely invested, and our families are engaged and supportive. That partnership matters, and it shows.
